In the steps of the Light Horse DVD

In October 2007, 70 men and women from the Australian Light Horse Association took a pilgrimage to Turkey and Israel. The trip coincided with the 90th Anniversary of the Charge of Beersheba, one of the last great charges of Mounted Infantry in the history of warfare. The aim was to follow “in the footsteps of the Light Horse’ at Gallipoli and Israel, culminating in a mounted ride through the desert from Shellal to Beersheba. This documentary DVD highlights the significance of the Middle East Campaign in the First World War, and the pivotal role of that the Australian Mounted Division played.

Duration 52 minutes.
