Waiting for Daddy: Rose's story explores the experience of a parent going away, and coming back from, deployment - as told from the perspective of 2-year-old Rose. It looks at the emotional responses and provides some resilience-building strategies for young children.
Created as part of the Early Childhood Defence Programs project, this book is part of a series of research-based storybooks, all designed to increase and support a child's understanding about the work of their parents and how it affect their lives. Topics focus on deployment, health impacts and family life in general.
