And so, things have been a bit different: Ben's story explores the emotional and physical rollercoaster of a family that has a parent who is injured when they are on service. It is particularly targeted at families who experience this and helps the parents start conversations about the changes in their family and develop emotional understanding and build resilience.
This book is only suitable for children whose parents have given their health in service.
Created as part of the Early Childhood Defence Programs project, this book is part of a series of research-based storybooks, all designed to increase and support a child's understanding about the work of their parents and how it affect their lives. Topics focus on deployment, health impacts and family life in general.
