Centenary of Armistice 2018: Poppy medallion

The Australian War Memorial has released this commemorative medallion to mark the centenary of Australia's involvement in the First World War during 1918.

The gold-tone medallion features an iconic red poppy, symbolising remembrance, encircled with the words: Lest we forget. The Australian War Memorial logo appears on the reverse side of the medallion, along with the foundation date of 1941.

 

The medallion measures 4.5cm in diameter.
