Ralph Honner: Kokoda Hero
Ralph Honner was one of Australia's great Second World War battalion commanders. He fought in the triumphant North African battles and then in the disastrous campaigns of Greece and Crete before playing a decisive role in the making of an Australian legend on the Kokoda Trail. After being severely wounded in 1943, he underwent a long period of convalescence before further serving Australia with distinction as a public servant, political figure and diplomat. Best selling author Peter Brune has previously had this book published under the title of 'We Band of Brothers'.
