Postcards From The Front: Still Going Strong
Margaret A. Clark
This is an account of one man's war. Alfred John Haynes served with the 36th and 33rd Battalions, AIF. He fought in several of the most important actions of 1917 and 1918, including Messines Ridge, Passchendaele, Villers Bretonneux, and Amiens.
Between 1916-1919, Haynes sent more than 200 postcards and letters to his wife and four children, describing his experiences and his feelings. His story comes to life through the cards and letters he sent home.
Soft cover, photographs, 230 pages.
