Mk IV 'Female' tank (First World War)

1:72 scale plastic model kit

One of the most popular First World War objects in the Memorial's collection is the Mk IV "Female" tank. Currently undergoing restoration, this classic vehicle will be back on display when our refurbished First World Galleries reopen in late 2014.

The "Female" Mk IV was armed with Lewis machine guns, while the "Male" carried 6-pounder guns in its twin sponsons. A total of 1,220 Mk IVs were built; this made the Mk IV the most produced British tank of the War. It was first used in 1917 at the Battle of Messines Ridge and remained in service until the end of the War.

Also available - Mk IV "Male" version

Includes decals for 4 versions. Glue and paints not included. Suitable for modellers aged 14 upwards.
