Spitfire Mk Vc with Australian markings

The Spitfire is the most famous single-seat fighter of the Second World War. It played a decisive role in the Battle of Britain and was constantly upgraded so that it remained effective from the European theatre to the Far East. The Spitfire Mk Vc was produced in 1941 and featured a "type C" wing which enhanced its flying performance. With the adoption of a tropical filter, the Mk Vc was widely used in the North African campaign. This 1:48 scale plastic model kit includes decals for an RAAF version.

Length when completed 19.7 cm. Glue and paints not included. Suitable for modellers aged 14 upwards. (AWM image P02874.042)
