In 1942 and early 1943 Australia took part in a bloody campaign on the island of Guadalcanal. While this contribution is often overshadowed by the fighting on the Kokoda Trail, many Australians played key roles in the Guadalcanal campaign to prevent Japan from gaining control over supply and communication routes between Australia and the United States. Join a curator from the Military Heraldry and Technology team to learn about Australia’s role in this Allied victory.
