The exhibitions combine cutting edge technology with large iconic objects to tell powerful stories about Australian involvement in conflicts over six decades.

The 1945 to Today Galleries are located on the Lower Level of the Memorial. 

Upcoming changes

The Conflicts 1945 to Today gallery is accessible via the new Critical Witness, Official war artists after 1999 exhibition.

The Conflicts 1945 to Today gallery, includes the Korean War, Malayan Emergency and Indonesian Confrontation and the Vietnam War.

The entrance to the Korean War and the Cold War galleries will be closed to the public from December 2023 and will reopen on 21 June 2024. This closure allows for scheduled construction works as we expand our galleries.

The second half of the Korean War gallery, including the Kapyong diorama, will remain accessible.
