School Visits

As a result of the latest national health advice, the Memorial is closed to the public from Tuesday, 24 March 2020 until further notice.

The health and safety of our visitors, veteran community, staff and volunteers remains top priority for the Australian War Memorial. With the COVID-19 situation rapidly evolving, updated public information will be made available on our website and social media channels.

Please contact with enquiries regarding school visits.

We look forward to welcoming your school group to the Memorial. Bookings are essential for all visiting schools. You'll find everything you need to organise and plan your visit on this page.

Term 3 2020 and onwards

Next year, from July onwards, the Memorial will undergo several major redevelopment changes, which will impact Education bookings and school visitors. To manage this impact the length of a school visit will be up to a maximum of three hours onsite.
