Papers of Sergeant Leonard Roy Elvin (2828) of 1st Infantry Battalion (AIF). Contains brief daily diary entries. Mainly mentions movements of the battalion and personal information. Entries on France are more detailed including impressions of fighting and of the country. Covers September 1915 to May 1917. Elvin was killed in action on 5 May 1917 at Bullecourt.
