Description
A blindfolded Japanese pilot, captured by British Solomon Islands Protectorate Defence Force (BSIPDF) scouts, is brought by canoe to the Segi coastwatchers station (ZGJ5), in New Georgia, Solomon Islands. The nineteen year old was piloting a Zero aircraft, which had experience engine failure and downed near New Georgia. Naval Historical Collection, formally Y087.
