Ivor Hele
Description
Portrait of the artist's uncle, Ivor Hele, as an Official War Artist. This sculpture is based on a photograph by Colin Thomas Halmarick that was taken in Anamo Area, New Guinea, 11 December 1944. It is an informal portrait of bare-chested official war artist SX7174 Captain Ivor H. T. Hele sketching bridging activities on lines of communication from Aitape to Driniumor River.
