Description

Folding entrenching tool with canvas cover. The entrenching tool is painted dark green and has a wooden handle attached with two rivets to the steel pick and shovel head. The green canvas cover has a flap opening with a press stud and is designed to cover the head of the entrenching tool while the handle fits through a smaller opening at the bottom. The sides of the cover are lined with leather strips. Two slide clips are attached to a webbing strip on the back of the cover. Written in black ink below this is 'ALANDFORD 182216'. There are also markings in ink on the front of the cover and there are several holes in the opening flap.
