Advances in warfare
Description
Cartoon of two Australian soldiers standing in a deep trench or crater, with only their heads visible. They are surrounded by a host of battlefield remains, including a half buried skeleton, an old artillery wagon, dead trees and barbed wire. As a jet races through the sky above their heads, one soldier observes to his mate "Yep. . . certainly been some great advances in warfare in the last fifty years, . . . ay Blue!!"
