Description

Two unidentified troopers standing near a series of graves in the desert. The original caption reads “All Light Horse boys killed in action December 23rd 1916 and January 9th 1917 at Maghdaba and Rafa.” One of the graves belongs to 2367 Trooper Neil Hamilton McBride, 3rd Australian Battalion Imperial Camel Corps from Cobar, NSW who died of wounds on 12th January 1917. He was later re-interred in the Kantara War Memorial Cemetery, Suez Canal, Egypt.
