Studio portrait of 17 Private (Pte) Richard Charles Bezzant, 33rd Battalion, of Deepwater, NSW. A farmer prior to enlistment, Pte Bezzant embarked with A Company from Sydney on HMAT Marathon on 4 May 1916. On 14 October 1917 he was killed in action at Passchendaele, Belgium, aged 19.
