Description

Soft black vinyl shoulder bag marked 'Hanimex "Softee"', equipped with two zippered storage compartments, a small snap lock external storage pocket at one end (containing a small vinyl repair square), and two zippered access slots at each end of the bag, each fitted with a black polyvinyl elasticised forearm sleeve to allow access into the bag for film changing and developing in the dark. Four plastic feet are attached to the base of the bag.

History / Summary

Relating to the Vietnam service of Raeburn Trindall, a cinematographer with the Commonwealth Film Unit. Three members of the Unit, Malcolm Smith, director, Raeburn Trindall, cinematographer and photographer, and Howard Spry, sound recordist, visited Vietnam in October 1968 to shoot footage to be used in productions for the RAAF Golden Years 50th anniversary celebrations.
