Ice cream factory on Bougainville
Description
The ice cream factory was taken over by the Australian Comforts Fund from the Americans. The ingredients were delivered in powder form, then mixed with water and placed in the mixer. In ten minutes it was ready for consumption. The output of the factory enabled one thousand five hundred troops to be served four ounces per day.
