Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of TX4314 Lieutenant Alan Giblin de Little, Audit Section Admin HQ, Malaya, 1941-45. Collection consists of service documents for Lieutenant de Little, a notebook/diary, poems, correspondence relating to Audit Section Admin movements, audits, staff, activities and operating conditions during the war, information about food rations, leaflets given to Prisoner of War by Japanese guards, personal correspondence and receipts for visits to Raffles Singapore and the Lake Club Kuala Lumpur. After the death of his commanding officer in Changi POW camp in 1942, de Little undertook the duties of the Audit section of the camp and maintained pay processes, financial audits and supply requisitioning during his internment.
