Portrait of 20555 Sapper Eric Keast Burke of D Troop standing on the boat deck, looking at the alleged Tree of Knowledge on the waterfront near the political officers' headquarters at Kurnah, the junction of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. On Sunday 26 October 1919, D Troop 1st Australian Wireless Signal Squadron was returning by boat to Basrah ready for embarkation.
