Studio portrait of John Thomas Lang in civilian clothing
Description
6045 Corporal John Thomas Lang, 19th Reinforcements, 2nd Infantry Battalion. A farmer from Uranquinty NSW, Lang enlisted on 7 March 1916. He embarked from Sydney on (A18) HMAT Wiltshire on 22 August 1916. Cpl Lang died at the 2nd Australian Field Ambulance, Belgium, of wounds received in action on 27 October 1917. He is buried at Battery Corner Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium.
Handwritten message on the back reads: "To Jack and Elsie from Brother Jack. Nov 1915."
