AWM82 2/155 - [Captured Japanese Documents:] Draft of a report from Lieutenant Colonel OTA to Chief of Staff KATO [File in Japanese]
Description
AJRP Sub-Series name: Post-surrender Rabaul material received from HQ 8 Military District. This item is a draft of a report from Lieutentant Colonel OTA to Lieutenant General KATO, Chief of Staff of the South East Area Army, regarding the allegation that the reserve of anti-malaria drugs for the 2nd working group had been secretly distributed amoung the groups high-ranking officals prior to their repatriation. Upon repatriation, remaining provisions were to have been transfered to other camps. OTA was particularly concerned over this allegation, as repatriated Japanese journalists had began to write scathing reports on affairs in Rabaul.
