Diary related to the Second World War service of VX5354 Gunner Keith Lindsay Lewtas, 2/2 Field regiment. This diary written between 3 March and 31 December 1940 mentions: addresses for other serving members; a list of the people who enlisted from Maryborough; a tally of letters sent and received; his pre-embarkation leave; his voyage on board HMT Dunera; his leave in Jerusalem and Cairo; his movements and training around the Middle East; his move to Regiment Headquarters as a surveyor; his tour of HMAS Sydney and his being shelled while surveying.
