Collection relating to Neil Davis, war cameraman and correspondent
Original caption: "Late April 1985. Ho Chi Min City (Saigon) Vietnam. Other [right] is Titiano Terzani (Der Spiegel Correspondent) - Italian and long-time friend of Davis. Long-time Asian correspondent, including 4 years in Peking. Covered 'Liberation' of Saigon. At that time pro-communist, now very critical of the communist regime. Neil Davis with Madam Nguyen Phuoc Dai (known to Davis and close friend of Suzie). Madam Dai was an anti-President Nguyen Van Thieu Senator in the old South Vietnam. A well-known lawyer, she represented the poor (often without pay) in court. Madame Dai's family is an old Vietnamese court family, relatives (distant) of the Emperor. At this time she was living precariously in Vietnam, viewed with suspicion by the communists, running a tiny French-style restaurant in the library of her old villa home. Photo: Titiano Terzani."
