Description

Collection consists of a four paged, handwritten copy of an eight verse poem titled 'War Graves on Tarakan' which has the name F/O A.T Latham written at the end. The poem is believed to have been originally written by O31388 Flying Officer (later Wing Commander) Andrew Henry Latham, RAAF, in 1945, although it is not his handwriting shown in this copy of the poem. It evokes the tragic loss of comrades who died at Tarakan, Borneo in the final days of the war in the Pacific.
