Description
Collection consisting of a diary, German map, discharge certificate, and a folder with ration book, photograph, money and German propaganda leaflet in it. The diary describes being taken prisoner by the Germans in May 1918, the work he did as a POW, the shortage of food, his escape and recapture, the Armistice and the final release of the POWs by the Germans.
