Description
Haramura area, Honshu, Japan, c. 1950-09-21. Holding a wash-bowl in his hand, a bare-bottomed member of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), is caught with his pants down outside his tent, as he has a 'quick APC' (wash of his armpits and crutch) in the morning. Another soldier is getting dressed inside the tent. Some branches broken from trees and bushes rest on top of the tent as camouflage. The soldiers are at Haramura, BCOF's main field training centre, taking part in a final series of exercises before 3RAR's departure for Korea. (Donor I. Robertson)
