Joining with other units of the 2/1st Australian General Hospital (2/1st AGH) the 2/1st Casualty Clearing Station (2/1st CCS) set up their first camp hospital. Left to right: Australian Army Nursing Service Personnel (AANS): Sisters VFX381 E.H. D'Alton, VX266 A.E. Whiteside, VFX360 U.A. Melville, VFX62909 M.F. Lindsay, VFX374 M.E. Josephs, E. Sulzberger, VFX263 Dorothy Vines, and VFX378 M.J. Hanna. Note the white tents which were soon covered in mud for camouflage.
