Gaza Ridge, Palestine. c. 1940-06. In the first hospital camp of the 2/1st Casualty Clearing Station (2/1st CCS) Nursing Sister VFX263 Dorothy Vines in her sleeping quarters tent. Note the mosquito net which was used to keep out insects that carried such diseases as Sandfly Fever which had the month before broken out in the neighbouring 2/1st Australian General Hospital (2/1st AGH).
