Description

Acton racecourse, Canberra, ACT. c. 9 December 1936. Group portrait of men of Canberra troop, C Squadron, 7th/21st Light Horse Regiment (Australian Horse), holding their rifles and posed in front of a cup and Hotchkiss light machine gun. The men have attended an annual training camp with 275 light horse men from the region. The camp ran for a week from 2 December 1936, and involved medical, veterinary and kit inspection and drill training, fire and rifle exercise and map reading.
