Description

India. c. 1945. Group Captain S. G. Wise DFC of Worcester Park, Surrey, the Commanding Officer of the Photographic Reconnaissance Unit (PRU), left, with Air Marshal W. A. Coryton CB MVO DFC, and Colonel M. W. Kaye of the US Army Air Force, leave the PRU after their tour of inspection. The Governor of Bengal, R. G. Casey, made a special request to an RAF PRU to take low level aerial photographs of Calcutta's condemned areas. RAF Mosquito aircraft were used to fulfil the request.
