Description

New Guinea. The RAAF has played a prominent part in the Allied campaign to drive back the Japanese in the South West Pacific and in raids and reconnaissance many of the planes have been manned by Australian personnel. Men of the Beaufort squadrons have been together for more than a year working as a team and they have wrought havoc among Tojo's men. After word is given round that a 'strike' is on, armourers load bombs into the bomb bay of a Beaufort aircraft of No. 100 Squadron RAAF before it sets out on its mission of destruction against Japanese-held positions in New Britain. The men move these 250 and 500 pound bombs on a bomb trolley.
