Haworth, Paul Eugene (Corporal, b.1893 - d.?)
Description
Corporal Paul Eugene Haworth wrote 'My personal experience at Gallipoli' while serving with the 1 Australian Infantry Brigade. An extended letter to his parents, the account spans April 1915 - August 1915, concluding when Haworth received a shrapnel wound and was sent to London. Haworth writes from the perspective of an American serving in the Australian Imperial Force and his narrative gives a detailed account of life on the Gallipoli Peninsula.
