Description

Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 26 April 1915. Some of the boats used in the landing at Anzac on Ari Burnu beach on 25 April 1915. Towed by small warships and steamboats, these vessels were brought to within wading distance of the shore under Turkish shell and rifle fire.
