Description

Three officers of the South Australian Scottish Infantry / Scottish Corps, wearing ceremonial dress. Note the helmet with feather hackle was worn in India and Australia in place of the traditional feather bonnet, as a concession to the climate. Identified from left to right: Lieutenant Allan D'Arcy Sutherland; Captain Thomas Hyland Smeaton and probably Lieutenant Stewart.
