A million pounds a week is the approximate value of salvage in the British Armies in France...
Description
British First World War poster. It features a central image of three British soldiers collecting discarded German equipment in a captured trench. One of the men fills a sack, stooping to pick up grenades and a German 'stahlhelm'. Another soldier passes a number of rifles to a third soldier who kneels at the top of the trench. In the background are the ruins of war damaged buildings. The title is separate and positioned across the top edge, in black. The text is separate and positioned across the top edge and across the bottom edge, also in black.
