History / Summary

Made by NX124705 Sergeant Herbert Sydney Smith. Sgt Smith was the youngest Master Gunner in the Royal Australian Artillery at the age of 27. He served in Darwin in 1942 and after the war was posted to Australia House in 1948. In 1952 he served as a Warrant Officer II at Holdsworthy Barracks, NSW.
