Description
First World War service documents of Lieutenant Colonel Garnet Ingamells Adcock. The collection comprises a field message book for October 1918 containing carbon copies of personal reminders for meetings, correspondence and notes on locations and times for troop deployments; a leave pass, October 1918; a statement of account for pay and allowances, September 1919. Other items include two newspaper cuttings regarding how to address private telegrams to Australian soldiers in France, 1916; a letter addressed to Adcock from a soldier regarding a social visit in 1919 and photographs of the headquarters of the 5th Tunnelling Company, Perham Downs, England.
