Description
Studio portrait of Private (Pte) James Robert O'Day, 5th Reinforcements, 2nd Pioneer Battalion, of South Gippsland, Vic. Pte O'Day enlisted on 1 July 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Karroo in Melbourne as an Acting Corporal, on 18 September 1916. Lance Corporal O'Day died of wounds on 29 September 1917 at Ypres, Belgium.
