Keep on Saving: Salute the Soldier
Description
This British Second World War poster depicts two Allied soldiers marching in the foreground, with a crowd of civilian onlookers with titles along the top and bottom edges. This is one of a series of posters by Harold Pym designed to boost morale on the home front and pay tribute to soldiers engaging in front line action. The Salute the Soldier campaign (1944) was national in its scope and aimed to raise money to fund equipement for the armed forces using National Savings contributions. Every town, city and village had targets to aim for.
