Description

Long sleeved Royal Australian Navy blue cotton shirt with shoulder slides showing the rank of lieutenant. The sleeves are reinforced between elbow and wrist with a second layer of fabric, and are adjustable at the cuff by a Velcro strip. The shirt has a five button closure, all but the topmost button being concealed. There are patch pockets on each breast, angled downwards from the shoulder, and closed by flaps with Velcro strips. On the right shoulder is a machine embroidered 'ROYAL AUSTRALIAN NAVY' cloth patch in yellow, red, green and white cotton, and on the left is a woven Australian flag patch in red, white and blue cotton. Below this badge is a small patch pocket divided into three compartments for pens. The rank slides are of black fabric, with the word AUSTRALIA' and the rank stripes embroidered in gold cotton. The shoulder straps are secured by a single button. A white fabric label sewn inside the collar gives size details and care instructions.
