South Vietnam. 6 October 1971. Bumper to bumper aboard lighters, are vehicles of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), as they approach the troop carrier HMAS Sydney anchored off Vung Tau. The vehicles, and the main body of the Battalion, are aboard the troop carrier on their way to Adelaide, as the first major move in the withdrawal of the Australian Force from Vietnam.
