Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 448 Corporal (Cpl) John Reid, 22 Battalion, Australian Imperial Force. Collection consists of one original diary written by Cpl Reid, and a typed transcript of the diary. Included at the end of the transcript is a photocopy of a studio photograph of Reid in uniform. The diary covers the dates 17 November 1915 to 1 June 1916, and discusses Reid's outward sea journey, training and operational notes. Cpl John Reid was killed in action in France on 5 August 1916.
