Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of Lieutenant Alan R C Sinclair, Royal Naval Reserve. Collection consists of one handwritten diary covering service with HMS Princess Margaret in the Royal Naval Reserve. Includes mine laying activity in the North Sea during the final stages of the First World War and then from December 1918 the stay in Riga and Copenhagen as part of the allied intervention in the Bolshevik Revolution. Lieutenant Sinclair had spent time in France in the AIF before transferring to the Royal Navy.
