Hantô shusshinsha shokun [Men of Korea!]
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Korea, Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. In an attempt to stir up patriotic feelings among the Korean men accompanying the Japanese forces, the message on the leaflet mentions the 150 students who cut their little fingers in protest against the annexation of Korea and the pro-independence organisation which relocated its headquarters to Australia after the occupation of Shanghai by the Japanese. It urges Korean men to turn to the Allies if they love their homeland.
