Embroidered silk postcard made in France during the First World War. This postcard features roses and a gold embossed Rising Sun badge has been incorporated into the cardboard border surrounding the embroidery. The card also features an image of a swastika which represented life, sun, power, strength and good luck prior to the Second World War.
