Description
Embroidered silk postcard made in France during the First World War. This postcard features an envelope design with a central purple and white pansy surrounded by Allied flags. The featured flags include the Union Jack, the French, Belgian, American, Serbian, Portuguese, Romanian and Italian flags. The bottom half of the design incorporates three pink flowers. A small card insert is illustrated with a view across the water from a balcony with the message "I'm thinking of you".
