Near Rangoon, Burma. C. 1945-01. A heavy and concentrated attack on two of the principal Japanese airfields at Zayatkwin and Mingaladon, near Rangoon, was made by RAF Liberator aircraft and US Army Air Force B-24 aircraft of the Strategic Air Force, Eastern Air Command. There was no opposition from enemy fighters. Two RAF Liberator aircraft over the target let their bombs go away through the clouds on to the airfields below.
